Heatsink interference in Corsair Carbide 400R/Corsair H100

I wanted to change my old case with the 400R H50 and H100 and keep my ASUS P5Q-E Q9650 processor. First, get the tapes from the back plate of H50 was a challenge and there is still a residue. Then I moved to the MB to the 400R, installed the H100 and found there was not enough room for the rear of the two fans on the rad for the reason that the heat sink fins on the top was too P5Q-E high.

I will try to loosen the screws to replace MB in the pump and then tighten back up in case the MB. Do not know if I'm imagining the problem of deformation MB.I think my main complaint with Corsair is surprise MB heat sink interference.

Trying to twist the pump 90 degrees as the capacitors is placed right subsequently to the socket on the CPU. This should ensure superior contact by means of the CPU.

That lowered my temps from 50 to 42. When I pulled the pump from the slurry was transferred only to the lower third of the heat sink, so you were right about the covers. After running about ten minutes with the rotation of the bomb and threw it again and the pasta was extended to cover all but the edges of the heat spreader.

I was running my H50 in a push / pull with covers on both sides. It was mounted in three 5.25-inch and extracting the air The H100 is mounted in a configuration of push and push the air out of the box. I was hoping the temperatures equal to or better, but 3c is not bad. On another note, today I looked at other motherboards and many of them have a high heat sink fins on the top of the board. I would image that the office of the same issues with the 400R Carbide and H100.

Did you by any chance install spacers on the top 3 mounting holes? I ask this question only because it was about this error. This would explain the deformation. I installed but did not look good, so I used a ruler to check and confirm that they are not needed. I do not know why you get 4 tabs.

For low-profile fans if they knew they were going to solve the problem. Get this juryrig and back on again, not fun.

fans are low profile air flow very weak relationship. You can only use one of the 2000 RPM versions of these fans in that position, but how it would work with the fan controller H100 is another matter.

There are some in the aftermarket heatsinks that would fit there and make room for the fan, nevertheless it is not easy to discover and the fit must be precise. Given the location of the heat sink, right next to the fans, could be trimmed a bit to allow the fan to fit? Some Modder if you say you make use of a Dremel tool in which the fan and fit, nevertheless I cannot say if that would work.

Thanks for the input. I think my best best to leave it until an update of CPU / MB is in order. My knuckles are not fully recovered from last turn to get the fan back into place.
