How to Mod standard optical mouse into a Storage mouse

Do you think that it is hard for us to mod a regular optical mouse and build it into a storage mouse? Currently I own a thumb drive that I took out of the casing, a mouse that I've unlocked, a few glue, as well as a soldering iron.
