It is quite possible to reuse many times a cartridge recharging. The solution to buy remanufactured cartridges or refilled, or recycled, can make significant savings. But it is not without risk. Buy a black ink cartridge remanufactured toner or black ink allows for savings of almost 50% and has little risk, and techniques of recharging a remanufactured cartridge are more safe and effective.

It is known that the compatible ink cartridges are much cheaper compared to the official cartridges. A compatible ink cartridge is a cartridge that is not produced by the printer manufacturer. These compatible cartridges, also known as generic cartridges, are opposed to the cartridges so-called "original." These compatible ink cartridges are suitable for printers, however, with which they are compatible. Where can come from such a large price difference between an original cartridge (marked on the printer) and a generic ink cartridge 'It is often the case that the compatible ink cartridges are half expensive. A major reason is because the big brands spend a lot on research and development to transform their printers. Brands manufacturing only compatible ink cartridges do not bear such costs and can offer low prices.
