My HP Photosmart C4280 is not having a scan button in System

Guys I have just stuck with this problem and I am not able to figure any way I tried all the potential given in HP Support. When I press scan on the printer, It always keep me saying that "USB device is not connected". The printer is straightaway linked to the Mac by means of U USB.

hey Guys I am having the similar issue I am new to with a Mac and HP printer. I tried to scan a document into the computer but it keep on telling me USB Not connected. Am I misplaced a cable, am I doing somewhat incorrect, or is there somewhat wrong with my computer or the printer? Please, if you know how to fix this I need very detailed and specific tutoring

Are you able to print through the computer?
I think I need think I need this information to help you further so kindly give me the details of what is the configuration of your system and what Operating system you are using such related stuffs?

I think In this case the problem might be due to the USB cable have you checked for the USB cable I guess You will have to make a check for the USB cable.

I am using a WinXP design, but the the same thing is occurring on my machine. From the HP C4280 I am receiving the "USB not connected" problem." though, when I updated the software to a new print driver, I was at least able to attain a program to import/insert a scan using TWAIN settings. For example from within MSWord2003.

Try out this
- System Preferences, Print & Fax
- Right clicking the print queue area and selecting Resetting Printing System
- Selecting the plus sign and re-adding your printer.
