Western Digital My Book Live reboot randomly

Anyone else has noticed the following behavior: Through e-mail alerts NAS I have the following message a couple of times a day: Following events are generated in Western Digital My Book Live.
    • Event Title: reboot
    • Severity: Information
    • Event Description: System has been restarted
    • Event Time: 08-31-2011 23:30:55 PM
    • Event code: 2001

Running latest firmware, but it also happened with the previous firmware. Anybody know the reason or a solution for this?

Well, first check if it really is restarting. I know the western digital my book live, alerts are sent occasionally repeated the things that has already alerted.SSH into the box and run the command "uptime" to see how long it has been running. If it is a reboot, so I do not know what it is. If not, then you need to make sure that you accept the alerts via the Web Interface.

The reset button closes by itself. You can try to "exercise" with a paper clip (power down, then disconnect, then push a dozen times with a clip, and then on again.)If this does not work, you should probably call WD Support.
