Buying i5 2500k\2500 , motherboard,RAM,dvdwriter and cabinet.(budget Rs.20000)

hi ,

My name is Rohit.I have just join these community and these is my first thread. I am a Engg. IT student.

I am about upgrade my old pc.

My old pc is going to be exchanged with new one for about 1500/-(only processor,RAM,motherboard,cd-drive and cabinet)

old pc -- P4 3GHz , 1.5 GB RAM, Intel Motherboard,CD-Writer and Intex cabinet.

For new PC i have decided to go with i5 2500k\2500 processor which is costing 10~11k.
So with my budget of about RS.20000/- i am confused to buy a motherboard,RAM,dvdwriter and cabinet.

Please suggest me a good configuration as per my budget(Rs 20000) with i5 2500k\2500.

Well, with a processor i5 2500k and its high budget it is tough to get all the other hardware's in the price range of 20000 Rs. This processor is a beast and you would require a good power supply for its support. A cheap side PSU in a electric failure situation can cause much damage to the processor or even the motherboard as well. Though there are peripherals that can be suggested in the price range with the processor that fit into the budget.

I think that for a cpu like i5 2500k it is better to get a P67 board. The intel H board would have been good if you where planning on using the IGP on the CPU. The cheapest one that you could find is this one Gigabyte GA-P67A-UD3 and it is a good board for a single GPU system. Also as far as gaming goes, the i5-2500 is also good.
