    Purchased a canon mp210 and the scanner wont work!!

    my operating system is windows 7 64 bit,

    i purchased it today, im after installing the right drives, yet when i click scan this message comes up 'An error has occurred, turn the device off and back on again, Scanner driver will be closed.

    Code: 2.250.0'

    what can i do?? please help me

    Possibly there might be some problem while installation of the printer or Driver. Do one thing, first uninstall the printer completely from the Device Manager and all (refer the manuals). Now follow the following steps:

    1. Install the printer again. Now download the CUPS printer driver and the scanner driver from the Canon Official Site.
    2. Now make sure you install the printer driver first and after that go with scanner driver. It might ask you for Restart. Reboot the PC.
    3. Now better do Windows Update, it might contain some update for Canon.
    4. Now go to add the printer and scanner.
