First impression of EGreat R100 (Realtek 1185)

I have recently got a EGreat R100 media player and what do you think about the first impression of the EGreat R100 media player. This player is based on Realtek 1185. From what I can say most if not all market players in the 1185 reference is using Realtek H / W and F / W with a minimal aesthetic customization. Please let me know the first impression of the EGreat R100 media player.

I think that this is a Realtek player; and the user interface is similar to the old 1073 into the design. Functional, but nothing fancy about it. The reason that this unit is that Netgear did not support any ASCII-based and external subtitle support very poor. In contrast, the R100 has 16 languages, counting the major European and Asian countries for the sole user interface, and I think that probably more than the subtitles from May 16 f / w. This is the professional looking website, but I don’t know that how to download or how to buy this thing, I searched on Google but I was not able to find it.

The extent that PQ concern, I cannot tell much departure amidst NTV550 and the R100 on 47" LG LED. R100 additionally pass through DTS-HD and DD TrueHD bit stream actually fine. No drop outs like Boxee. One fantastic thing concerning the 1185 UI is allow course of events bounce which is handy for chapter less MKV records and so on. Since one just split BD with fundamental move to m2ts and so forth, R100 works fine but assuming that one have a desire to tear to BD envelope or BD ISO, the 1185 based player begins to go into disrepair. Poignant 1185 can handle BD 1.0 menu but there isn't a large number of BD specifically late BD utilizes BD 1.0 menu. Would be Realtek can enhance this territory with destiny f/w upgrades but as is BD with BDj menu play back is hit and miss and here NTV550 quite sparkles.

I think that like Neo, R100 is able to choose resolution TV from the remote control. This is a feature that if you have a none 1080 is not compatible with HDCP. One of the reasons I came Boxee Box because one of the televisions we have is more Boxee Box 1080i RPTV and I remember even manual adjustment of 1080i and insist on doing a handshake in power and therefore useless for television . I hope that you have understood the problem.

One great thing about Realtek 1185 reference f/w is the adaptability to control outer subtitles. You are effortlessly able to select ready subtitles, switch size, shade, and change up and down. It is likewise suppose to have the capacity to conform synchronize timing and update fonts but I have not attempt them yet. And the interesting, it's similar to the cinema tube 5005.u have to click the remote a couple of times to watch a movie and I would like to prefer shortcuts like xbmc.

What's more, the Realtek 1185 responds to order slower than the Sigma 864X and more imperatively, the Ethernet port is worse than the NTV550. When wired straightforwardly to the router, the R100 is fit to playback BD peachy but when joined to a 5 GHz satellite scaffold, the R100 stutters while the NTV550 joined to the same scaffold at the same time works fine. Generally speaking, 1185 is a noteworthy redesign from 1073 but not practically on a par with Sigma 864X (if done right). As is it works well for me as supplements to Neo TV but no go as a stand apart from everyone else player.

One huge situation with Realtek 1185 reference UI is it looks love extend from the 1073 days. Significance the Movie”, “Music and Photo menu part just works for neighborhood media not from the system which makes them far less convenient to me as I rather stream them from server. You need to utilize "File Manager" to play records from server which is still peachy but not as great if the "Movie" and whatnot can handle the grid drives as well.
