Preferred fan and mods in Corsair Hydro H80

I wanted to ask what mods people have done with this or the H100 cooler? As well as what fan everyone is using?Some people favor a 38mm fan instead of the 25mm. I'm still thinking of what to do; I want the improved performance whilst keeping it calm also. I want to acquire the finest of both worlds if I could.

I consider that shrouds are helpful for more than a few reasons, and make use of them on all my H-series coolers. I even make use of them to produce a gap between the grill on the PC case and the push fan on the radiator. IMO, fans that are mounted honestly on a grill have their performance degraded quite a bit. It's simple to experiment with this if your case has a fan grill on one of its sides.

Between the fan and radiator permit the air flow from the fan to scatter and generate a more consistent air flow all the way through the radiator. shrouds also reduce the overall noise level with any fan.
