Printers disappear under Printers & Faxes

Every day my Printers disppear under Printers and Faxes

I then have to go to Start, Accessories, Comand Prompt and type "Net Start Spooler" to get these to reappear

Is there a method/procedure to use that the printers do not disappear. I am using Windows XP Professional?

Your assistance will be most appreciated

Well, this the only way that I know off where you have to ensure that your print spooler is running by going into command prompt and typing net start spooler and then hitting enter so that the printer reappears. Thanks for the reply. I have been using this metod for some time, but it has to be done every day when I power up my PC as the Printers & faxes disappear and have to be reloaded using "net start spooler" from the command prompt"

Surely there must be a way to correct this so that the printers & faxes allways appears under "printers & Faxes"

I had also faced the same issue with my printer and came across the following solution which worked for me in my Windows XP OS. While we are updating our system, sometimes it happens that the \windows\system32\printui.dll file gets deleted or renamed to mprintui.dll. I am still not sure about it. What i actually did was navigated to system32\backup directory and copied the printui.dll file to the system32 directory. This thing solved my issue, so i would definitely suggest you to try it if you are using the Windows XP system.
