Driver for HP deskjet 1180c on Windows 7 64-bit

Hello friends, i am having a HP deskjet 1180 c printer that I have set up in my office. I want to connect it to the computer running on Windows 7 operating system. the problem is that i don’t have the driver for my HP deskjet 1180c. When I browse the “Support and Drivers”i could not find the driver. HP has not released the driver for windows 7. as there is no drivers installed i am not able to use the printer. Can anyone suggest what to do. From where could I get the drivers.

You can use the alternate driver for your Deskjet 1180c. i think that Deskjet 1220c driver is compatible with the Deskjet 1180c. install the driver by selecting devices and Printers folder and then select “Add Printer” then click on the Local printer and then select the appropriate port. when the list appears click on the windows update button located at the bottom of the window. This refreshes the list of available printers. now you can select HP 1220c from the list.

I was trying to update the drivers but there was no driver for deskjet 1180c available in the HP site. But the windows update always failed to update the driver. So i went to the Device and Printers folder and then clicked “add printers”. Then in the same window selected “LOCAL folder and then when the option for the port appeared I selected the port with the highest number. When the list of printers appeared on the dropdown list, I selected HP deskjet 1220c. And then clicked on Windows update. I suggest you to try this and i am sure it will work.

hey, if you encounter any problem while installing the alternate driver HP deskjet 1220c then you can try to install another alternate driver of printer 1120c. When I found that 1220c dint worked then after the list got refreshed there was another option in the printers list. It was 1120c. When I selected it and got it installed in the system, my printer started working. So I want you to try this, if your printer does not work after installing Deskjet1220c.
