Hello everyone, last month I had purchased the HP dvd1040e DVD writer and I had install Windows XP OS on it. This DVD writer is so much helpful to burn the CD as well as DVD and the speed provide it for burn the CD is so fast and hence it so popular within few time period. Yesterday I had installed windows XP operating system and after that whenever I try to access this DVD writer then it can’t able to do the burn process. It help a lot to burn the Audio as well as video files onto the CD and DVD. I think you also need to install this software.

Hey I think you need driver of the HP DVD writer but I must tell you that there is the software application presents over the internet will not gives the guaranty that the downloadable applications is to be virus free. Hence you need to use the authorized driver CD of this writer. Normally the HP provides the free driver CD of the DVD writer. Then if you bought this DVD writer then you also received the driver CD. Thus use that CD and then install the DVD writer driver over the system.
