Is Old Fotron 500W PSU enough for HD6850 and 4 Hard drives

I have computer which is configured with one HD6850, one SSD, two Green HDD and a single black HDD. Currently I am planning to overclock my 2500K processor to 4.2GHZ. All these peripheral are configured with Gigabyte P67 motherboard. This motherboard completely supports new core processors from Intel and they are i3, i5 and i7. My current PSU is damaged and as an alternative I have got Old Fotron 500W. Do you think that this PSU is enough for my current configuration?

As far as I know that the New P67 motherboard will take on the Dual Power-supply plan, is the supposed dual power MOSFET tube board through 2 dissimilar programs, like CPU power MOSFET tube by means of Driver MOS (FETs), this intend is comparable to the scheme of the DrMOS Weixing, it looks like gigabyte too educated to weixing. However since the memory controller in numerous phase supply you still stay a gigabyte customary low heat MOSFET tube design. So try to get at least the 650W power supply because the 500W is minimum requirement.

Overclocking the 2500K otherwise the 2300K is pretty much depended on the CPU itself; pretty much whichever of the P67 motherboards will permit you strike 4.8 and following that it is reliant on top of the CPU to get you elevated. I punch 4.8 foremost attempts on air by means of together the ASUS P8P67 Deluxe as well as Pro boards. I did come across the MSI P67A-GD55 to be further unpredictable and their innovative BIOS is sort of irreverent and buggy. However I didn’t concern about the PSU because I was using the 550W PSU.

It seems to me that I am also having the similar configuration like you mentioned above. I have successfully overclocked the system and it is working smoothly without any issue. While configuring the system I struggled a bit due to my 500W PSU but I managed to set it in 650W correctly. Following are my configuration.
    • CPU: Intel Core i5 2300k
    • Motherboard: Gigabyte P67 series motherboard
    • RAM: 2x2GB DDR3 1333mhz (Kingston)
    • GPU: Sapphire ATI 6850
    • HDD: 1TB HDD from Western Digital and a 500 GB from Seagate
    • Casing: COOLER MASTER GLADIATOR RC600
    • PSU: Cooler Master GX Series 650W (At least 500w)

I think that the PSU is far more enough with your current configuration. However I hope that your video card does not take any external power supply. The P67 motherboards are mainly developed for consuming enough power. It is built with special technology. If you have any doubt about the PSU capability then at first configure with only one SDD and the HDD. If it is working fine then add one more HDD. Like this way test the capability,

My best choice for Intel core processors and the P67 motherboards is Mushkin Enhanced Joule 1000W PSU. It is ended in a satin, somewhat textured, black cover that does an enormous job of trouncing finger prints as well as scratches. A normal 10A 250Vac IEC mains input connector is utilized in favor of the power cable connection together with a little rocker button intended for mains input separation. There are 2 glide switches on top of the back panel - one that reins fan illumination color, red, blue, as well as green otherwise off (none) and one more for multi or lone 12V rail process. The reverse face carries the modular cord connections, black meant for peripherals and blue intended for PCI-E power.
