    Thinking to upgrade my 260GTX

Three years ago I messed up and exhausted about $ 500 for 8800, which is the last time I spend that much money on a graphics card. They had a good performance and died two years later, ran too hot. So I have a GTX 260 last October and have served me pretty fine. But now I'm thinking of upgrading, mostly because I want DX 11 in some of the upcoming games. I'm thinking to spend about 250ish, the 560ti was released now and those considering a purchase. I do not plan to upgrade my graphics card until end of the year, when some games I want is out. So I have a pretty fine setup just require a superior graphics card to go along with it. What card should I get? 560ti or 6950?

I am in a situation quite similar. I have my 260 gtx two year ago and was looking to improve this fall, but the only game I play is pushing BFBC2. I will evaluate my situation in March, when more games are released. I think both the 560 and 6950 are priced exactly where you need to be. The explosion of the ball has to be the closest I have ever seen. Get the 560 and overclock, have a great card. The edges 6950 gtx of the 560gtx, but possibly does not have the similar OC potential, But if you have the 6950-2GB which can unlock, then another good choice.

anything you choose (GTX 560 Ti or HD 6950) you will observe marvelous performance increases. most excellent hit between the HD 6950 1 GB and GTX 560 Ti is a tossup, even though the GeForces are superior overclockers and there is even one reproduction (from Gigabyte) that can equal a GTX 570/HD 6970 for only $10 extra than a normal GTX 560 Ti. The GeForces are also a good deal in geometry throughput than the Radeons. And through the Radeons you do have perpetuity. Select one based on what is more helpful to you.

Depending upon the decision, at 1920x1080 or 1920x1200 I would say the HD6950 1GB or the HD6870. The GTX560Ti is not fairly as fine value as either of those both. At advanced res, go with an HD6950 2GB and try to unlock it to an HD6970. The GTX570 is a feasible alternative but is little superior than the HD6950 if in any way, and pretty a long way further than your financial plan. I hope this will help you.

Thanks to everyone for your responce! Appearing at the whole thing I would get the 6950 2GB, I game at 1920x1200 decree.....so I would require the more power to play at that declaration. It is only 30 dollars extra, and handles games improved at that soaring resolution. Hopefully when April rolls around the cost will have plunged little bucks. Even though the OC 560 from GB is quite damn fine in those standards.

I would go with either the 560 or 6950 2GB. . At this time the 6950 prices discounted 2GB is very close to the 1GB version, now a quick seem has both cards being had inside $5 of each other among the 2GB having a lot of discount going on. If you wish for to save $10 and enjoy overclocking 560. . Would you spend $ 15 more and meet the sales and unlock the card? 69502GB. the most excellent recommendation would be to ask in this month. Prices without a doubt will change in a month and a half before, and come to see others to make the decision between now and then.
