    Microsoft eHome MCIR 109 Keyboard

I am using Sony vaio among a Windows XP. When I reboot, then a massage pop up comes on the screen and says that ‘it wants to install a driver for the Microsoft eHome MCIR 109 Keyboard.’ It says that I have to installed in the suitable CD or find the file that contains that driver. I do not know what the "Microsoft eHome MCIR 109 Keyboard" is, or why it should require to be installed on my computer. I read anywhere that it is possibly a gaming application, but one that is not really a Microsoft product. Obviously it is not working and so seems unnecessary. The amount of gaming that is played on this system is Run escape and a some kids games like Pajama Sam, I want to delete it, if possible. Please explain me about its function. If it is required, where do I locate the pertinent driver? How can I delete it?

I had the same issue so I thing I will help you to solve your problem. First I want to know what kind of keyboard do you presently have on the computer and is it wireless? I suppose that it works properly. When you again see this massage on your screen then properly see there is one check box also present that says to the area of ‘Do not promote me to install this again’ then check it properly, I thing that should make it leave away. I hope you can able to remove it.

The solution in Windows that worked for me:
    • First select Device Manager:-then select Human Interface Devices:-now go to Microsoft eHome Infrared Transceiver and press right clicks on it. Then
    • -update driver software
    • -browse my computer for driver software
    • -let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer
    • -uptick Show compatible hardware
    • -select HID-compliant consumer control device, then next
    • Device Manager:- Human Interface Devices :-‘HID-compliant consumer control device’:- Disable

It doubtful whether really is the solution. I think the problem is with the game and not the hardware. For example, despite using a keyboard that has a standard input language selected for the English language has the same QWERTY keyboard layout that the vast majority out there doing so well, the tilde key may actually be another key in the game. An example of this, American Army 3 permits you to push the tilde key to write numerous things in a console. However, few time what has been the tilde key in programs similar to this ends up being the key at in place. It is generally trial and error. If you allocate a control function for the game among the tilde key, and later discover that the tilde key does what is supposed to do, but a new key AGO, then that is the key that is more possible to be tilde key in-game.
