EPSON Perfection 2480 scanner not working with mac 10.6.5

I am having a Apple macbook air ultra portable laptop, this is running with this mac osx 10.6.5 os, the system I basically use for internet access and some times for the personal entertainment purpose. Along with this I am attached a EPSON Perfection 2480 scanner. But from last few days there is problem in the scanned machine that I encountered from since last few days and I am looking for the solution for this type of scanner problem, along with this if someone from here have any other scanner information which will support by the mac osx platform. Any suggestion will be appreciated.
