Seagate GoFlex™ Desk or FreeAgent Desk™

I want to Purchase a external hard disk with 1 TB Capacity for storage solution for home. For me, i have huge amount of pictures albums movies and games to store so i can free up some space in my internal drive.

I am not bothered about the size of the drive or its portability, because after transferring the data it will be lying around near my computer table.

I am not able to understand the difference between Seagate GoFlex™ Desk and FreeAgent Desk™. If its just about size then please help me select the Right one.

I only have USB 2.0 ports on my computer and i am running windows 7.

Re: Seagate GoFlex™ Desk or FreeAgent Desk™

From what I have seen, the GoFlex Desk hard drive comes for a 2 year warranty and if old FreeAgent Desk drives are compared then it comes for a 5 year warranty. Due to the facts that GoFlex Desk's only have USB 2.0 and a 2 year warranty, I can't see a compelling reason to buy a GoFlex Desk when the old FreeAgent Desk seems like a better product with a better warranty. So choice, is to made by you.
