The other laptop, a Dell XPS 15, working Windows 7 64-bit.The printer works absolutely reliably from the windows XP system. From the XPS 15, the printer workings reliably for a day or so, after that the symbol indicating the printer is offline. Even in this state the printer's IP address has not altered. However the printer is still reported as offline for printing by Windows. This issue is very irritating. I have done Google searches on this issue. Even though I have found a variety of similar reports for a variety of brands of wireless printers on windows Vista or Windows 7.but no help so please assist me. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Before altering any settings on your laptop or network, you be supposed to primary confirm that the shared printer is operating correctly. If the printer is connected to your host laptop locally utilizing a data wire, confirm that the USB wire is definitely plugged in to the workstation plus that the printer is powered on. If the HP DeskJet 3050 printer being shared is a network device, you may need ensuring its Ethernet configuration. Confirm that the printer's Ethernet wire is linked to an active network port, as well as after that confirm that the printer is getting a suitable IP address. The easiest method to confirm your shared printer is functioning properly is to send a print job from your host laptop to the local printer. If the job prints effectively, after that the issue lies somewhere else in the wireless-sharing settings.
