    CPU socket for your Motherboard

I have to cleat this doubt before moving on for further process. I need to know about the CPU socket fir my computer. Currently I am having a LGA775 for my motherboard. I am looking forward to change it as soon as possible. I don’t have enough funds to swap this. So I need know is there any affordable CPU socket which has better response from the user and can be affordable.

I think can keep the current Socket for some time. You don’t need to change it unless if you get some issue in this. The LGA or Land Grid Array version CPU socket can supports several processors as given below
    • Intel Core i7 (800 series)
    • Intel Core i5 (700, 600 series)
    • Intel Core i3 (500 series)
    • Intel Xeon (X3400, L3400 series)
    • Intel Pentium (G6000 series)
    • Intel Celeron (G1000 series)

The total pins in this socket are 1156 and the Bus speed is up to 2.5 GT/s. This is belonging to Socket H type model.

LGA 775 users those who on track with a quad-core on that podium they may need to upgrade their socket. There are some little reasons for upgrade. The current LGA775 will able to handle Core 2 Quad and later processors. Because they are nearly 3 to 4 years old. There are new CPU sockets are available and they are Socket LS for Intel Xeon processor. You may check it in feature.
