According to the German Canon site there are just 32-Bit-Drivers for Windows 7 obtainable. Lide 25 is the same - and Lide 30 only is supported with Win XP drivers (that won't work under Windows V7). So there is no possibility to run the scanner in 64-Bit-Windows.The best what you be able to do: attempt to setup a virtual machine (Windows Virtual PC, Virtual Box or VMware Player) plus install a 32-Bit-Windows (or Windows XP). Then it may be achievable to scan.PS: a Windows 7 scan feature requires WIA drivers to access scanners. TWAIN is simply supported from graphic applications.

hey,I have found an answer that, at least, will work on the Pro and Ultimate versions. First of all you have to install the Windows 7 Mode. Once you have finished, enter in your new "Windows 7 Mode" as well as download / install the Lide20 Windows 7 driver plus the CanoScan Toolbox. Plug your scanner in, plus in the USB menu on top of the windows 7 Mode choose "Attach". If the whole thing is OK, you scanner will work flawlessly inside windows 7 Mode. It is not accurately a fast process, however it is a free solution .I hope you get it helpful. It may also work with other unconfirmed drivers.

Along those same lines, if you donnott have Windows 7 professional or Ultimate, you will be able to download Virtual Box, from Virtuabox.org provided that you have one of your older 32 bit OS's on hand.I have installed Virtual Box onto my Windows 7 64 bits, as well as installed my previous windows XP pro 32bit OS into virtual box as a guest OS, after that installed my LIDE 20 as well as printer drivers into that. Works like a charm, and you be able to as well utilize any program with twain drivers, like Photoshop. I have also set-up shared folders among my host OS (Windows 7 64 bit) plus the guest OS's. I now have XP pro 32, Vista 32 and Ubuntu 64 installed as guest OS's in Virtual Box. VBox has transformed me into a virtual machine freak. It is almost borderline O.C. disorder! Being able to bring-up any of those OS's via some mouse hits is quite handy for driver problems.
