My earphones do not work with DVDs

Hello friends, I have recently bought a new SONY TMR-RF925R earphone for me. I use this to hear the TV so that others should not get disturbed by TV sound. My problem is that the headphone cannot function with the DVD’s. I am using the Panasonic 'Viera' TV which is about 3 to 4 years old. I have surround sound system for my TV. When I switch on the DVD then the surround sound system gets turned off. I wish that I will get the answer for this soon. Thank you very much.

This seems that most of them which are under 100 USD have bad grades. I am having a pair of Sennheiser which is of Rs 130. Those are RF headphone and they give a great sound. If you have the RF wireless then you have to face some noise and hiss. There is a disadvantage with the IR headphone that they will only work when that light is visible. You will lose the signal when anything comes in its way. But the sound quality is pretty good.

As you told that you have bought it new. I am sure that you have the warranty card for this and it is under warranty period. If you are getting any problem with that then you should take it directly to the dealer from where you bought that and ask them for the issue. See what they can help you. If they are not able to solve that then you can directly contact the dealer and I am sure that they will help you.

There may be some problem with the DVD to which you are trying to connect the headphone. If the DVD has some problem then also it will not provide the proper connection to the headphone. If you want to check that then you can try to connect that to some other DVD and see whether that is working properly or not? If that is working there then it will confirm that the problem is with the DVD and you can go for the solution accordingly.

This may be the way the computer was built. The CD ROM has to be
connected to the sound card with a special cable and the sound card has
to support this. Personally, I have never connected the audio cable
because my speakers have a jack on the front of them.
