Looking for external hard drive of 500GB

I am a regular user of computer and I use lot of data all the day and for that I decided to buy a new 500GB of hard drive for keeping all my data. I have search regarding this on many sites but I am little bit confuse about these, I don’t know to go with which one. Initially I decided to go with Seagate but some of my friends told me, it just failed after couple of months. So if anyone knows which would be better then please let me know? Any suggestions will appreciate. Thanks in advance.

I think that you should go with Toshiba hard drive. Because Toshiba has added new offering of 500GB with new release of HDDR500E03X hard drive. It is comes with USB 2.0, and 2.5 inches with present color and NTI shadow backup software built in and now it is available in the market. I will advise you to go with this one.
