    Trouble with Dell W2607c

Hello friends, I am having the problem with my Dell w2607c, after it turns on but within no times the power light button blinks yellow. It has been told to me that it is probably the power supply module. Does anyone have the problem with this model of monitor? I immediately contacted the Dell support, they told me that my system must not be turning on all the way and there is no problem with your monitor. But when I plug the another monitor to the system, it works fine. I can’t understand is it the problem with the w2607c and they are trying to avoid fixing the thing because it is out of warranty. Please help me. I live in a place where the nearest TV repair shop is 4 hours away.

As warranty is being ended so you are not obligated to repair it or exchange it with the Dell. The other TV brands had a specific defective part that the W2607C does not have. So the W2607C is not part of the special Repair program. What you should is purchase the defected TV part and get the local TV repairer to install it on your monitor. if the other monitor on the system is working than the 100% the problem is for W2607C.

Sorry say that Dell does not sell the parts for the w2607c. Myself has the same problem, I had replaced it more than 3 times. I am an IT specialist and a Web Designer. My now failed TV also served as a monitor for presentations and training. I have often dealt with the understanding that DELL computer parts are proprietary. That does not excuse the recent frustrations experienced by the TV repair man and myself. I am writing to vent my frustration with Dell in general. My guess is that I have been escalated to every department within the company. Is that the new Dell policy/guideline for customer support? My time is worth money. The hours on hold or being switched elsewhere unreal. The only continuity is that the failed TV Model W2600 - W2607C does not have part replacement for the failed main PCB or failed main module. DELL FAILED, I PAY for countless hours spent on an electronics tech that then can't get an answer from Dell. I PAY to get this hunk of junk taken down off the wall. I will NEVER recommend Dell to anyone again. is any one from Dell watching this problems

What you need is to do the troubleshooting. Do the troubleshooting to the narrow down at which your board is bad. I thing the problem is of the power supply board or the backlight inverter board. Also check for the voltage and do the visual inspection. Try this basic guide that can be applied to most LCD flat panel TV. Then try unplugging it from the outlet for about an hour to see if the TV will reset itself since the minute the TV is plugged into the wall, the power supply and processor will be running 24/7 and the EPROM can get corrupted by spikes and surges. Try using good quality surge suppressor to see if it will help if it happens often. Look for burnt brown hot spots on the circuit boards, capacitors with leaking/bulging top or seals. Loose wires and connectors. For more information go to the fixya.com/support/r5093881-lcd_flat_panel_tv_troubleshooting_guide. It will help you out.

The power board which is inside of the Dell is bad and it is the very commonly found problem in the Dell TV or the Monitor sets. And the cost for getting the another will be very costly and it will cost around $150 to $200. If you is being unable to found out then join this community of people, they will help you out: en.community.dell.com/dell-groups/digital-entertainment/f/3506/t/19015505.aspx. The bad luck is that it is really hard to found the part as it going to be hard to search it because lots of people is having the common issue. If you find it then it is well and good and if you won’t better replace it.
