Intel X25-V 40GB Firmware update on MacBookPro 2.16GHz OS X

I am using MacBook Pro 2.16GHz OS X works with runs on a 2.16GHz Intel Core Duo chip processor. Couple of days ago I have got X25-V 40GB SSD drive for external storage for my MacBook Pro but when I tried to install the firmware updates for the X25-V 40GB SSD. The CDR which I am using is not recognized for having content on boot and error message appears saying as” insert a bootable CDR”. But when I place the CDR again back into my machine, it is blank and there is no more data from the iSO. If anyone can provide me with the solution please post your solution.

This problem of yours with the firmware update on your macbook pro can be solved by switching from the AHCI to IDE or to ATA on the compatibility mode. After doing this it will allocate both the drivers to be identified. This can be used to avoid the problem you are facing while installing the firmware update of the Intel X25-V 40GB. Let me know if your problem is resolved using above mentioned solution.

I think this can be the problem with your firmware update which you have taken in the CDR. I think you should get the firmware update for your Intel X25-V 40GB from the official Intel website which will be perfect to use for your MacBook pro. You can get this updates on your flush drive of any portable thing just have to boot properly in Macbook Pro after which you will able to work properly with your latest SSD.

I was facing similar problem when tried to get the update for my Intel SSD on my macbook but solved my problem by using a –r and +r cd’s which solved my problem and may help you as well to solve the problem because it may happen that CDR you are using is corrupted. Because of which your macbook pro is not able to boot this CDR updates. Otherwise just use another software to "burn" the iso reflection which may resolve the problem.
