How to install and use a saa7231 TV card ?

I purchased a new computer only some days back and I have a set of problems in installing and using my TV card. The card which I am using is a saa7231 triple capture device from CTX and lspci identifies the card as:

I got somewhat that looks to be a driver for that card on the jusst site but I do not recognize how to utilize it. I installed it using make -i & put together to install it but I have no plan what to do after that. Programs like tvtime oder kaffeine are still not able to obtain any signals.So maybe somebody is able to give me some hints on using this TV card.Currently I am using the Debian Lenny with a kernel version 2.6.26-2-amd64.

I have visited the Ubuntu official website and from there I have got the solution of this from there I have downloaded the missing file and then install it. And after that I have seen that it is not working at that time. Then I have rebooted my PC then finally it is working. So I think you should also try this I hope it also solve your issue.

Thanks a lot for your tip, but I have attempted to try the tvtime already. It just provides me a blue window with the text it is not able to find /dev/video0. I have checked it and this device does not exist. unluckily there is no tool at all that looks like a TV card. I believe the saa7231 driver is not installed or loaded properly. My problem is that I do not know how to make use of this driver.

I have read all the post from this thread. And it looks like the same one which is I also facing. I have downloaded the driver from the site but it is fails to compile. And in this there is no rule to make target `/root/saa7231-c6048b34be66/v4l/saa7231_pci.o', which is needed by the `/root/saa7231-c6048b34be66/v4l/tda18271.o'. In this the system which I am using is slackware 13.0 x86_64 kernel: 2.6.32.2 if you know the solution of this then please help me.
