Inspiron 1545 TouchPad Problem

I have a Dell inspiron 1545 laptop. I used to work on it daily. I am facing problems when operating the Touchpad. Early it was working properly but now I have to carry external mouse with me every day and I am fed up of that thing. If anyone having any solution on this then please reply me. Every reply will be appreciated.

I have gone through your question and there is a solution on this is to run diagnostics on your laptop by continuously pressing the function keys and Power keys for diagnostics. After initial diagnostics do the complete system test for checking that is what is the primary problem with touch pad. If having any other query then please reply me.

On the next time when you operate your laptop and if you found touchpad is repeatedly recalibrating at that time you must hold your fingers far away from the touchpad. After that you can change drivers of Touchpad. By doing this you can reduce this problem of touchpad. If having any other queries please reply me.

As per question I think your touchpad must be damaged. Touchpad is a delicate thing to operate, so there is many possibilities to damage device by patter on it too hard or if you use any sharp instrument on touchpad instead of finger. First check that is your driver is working correctly? If yes then I recommend you to change you touch pad.
