    500GB (5400rpm) vs. 320GB (7200rpm) :Hard Drive

I want the information regarding the hard drives. I am willing to buy a hard drive for my computer, but i do have confusion. I do not know that which hard drives to by.I have confusion between the 500GB (5400rpm) and the 320GB (7200rpm) .I see that one has more GBs and the other is faster in speed. What should i do, whether i should pay my attention towards the GBs or towards the speed?

If you are willing to have more space in your computer then you can go with the 500GB. It will work bit slow as compared to the 320GBOm the other hand if you do not want the space, but want the speed then you can do for the 320GB. It is having a good speed, because of this it can do all the works faster, such as starting Windows up faster, file transfers will be faster, video game loading times will get reduced, program install times will be reduced, etc.

What i feel is that it depends upon two things. For what purpose you are using the computer and what are your requirements. If you have requirement of the speed then you go for the 320GB (7200rpm). If you are having the requirement of the space and can compromise with the speed then you go for the 500GB (5400rpm). If you want both space as well as speed then you can go for a 500GB at 7200rpm.

According to me you should not think of the GB. If for some reason you are formatting the hard drive, then you will not be formatting exactly 500 GB, it will be less. What i feel is the speed of the hard drive is important because it will perform your work much faster and will save your precious time, because what i feel is time is money and money is everything. So till now you must be aware that which one is best for you.

I have purchased a 320 GB hard drive for my computer. I connected it with my PC and when i used it for the first time i was amazed with the speed. Even you will be blown away. It is very good to see the boot time. I am very much happy with the performance of the hard drive. If i load several applications at a time then it easily loads up all of them. So i will suggest you to by a 320 GB.

I have the solution for my problem. For me the performance is the one which i want. As i have very less time with me for doing the work at home, because most of the time i spend in the office. If i get the performance from the 320 GB, then it is fine for me, i will buy that one. I thanks to all those people who have given me their advice.
