Seagate grants itself the palm at the transfer rate with a maximum of 120 Mb / s and an equally exceptional average of 95 MB / s! These transfer rates are comparable to those of a Velociraptor 300GB. The Barracuda 7200.11 cons sign a performance level of access time : 15ms in HD Tune and HD Tach 14.4 ms . At speed , the WD Caviar Blue leads the pack 11.9 ms during the test HD Tune and HD Tach with 12 ms . By cons , he conceded 10% transfer rate at Seagate.

The two "640 GB " are neck and neck with a small advantage for Western Digital . Side " 1TB , Western Digital is doing very well even if the application is about twenty seconds longer than the two small balls of nerve. A performance that should be welcomed given the speed of rotation "exotic . " Samsung Spinpoint is disappointing with almost 50 seconds more to perform the same task .
