Mighty Mouse not working with bootcamp and XP

    Hi,
I bought a new mac book pro. I have installed Windows XP by using bootcamp. I have a mighty mouse but I am getting trouble to make the wireless mouse to work. I added it to the system using the bluetooth Wizard. It was added properly and did not shown any error while running the wizard. But when I restarted the computer and tried to use mouse, I found it is not moving anymore. please help me. I am able to solve the issue.

There may be problem with your mouse driver. It may not be working properly and causing the issue. I think you have should uninstall the mouse driver and reinstall it again. Restart you PC and see whether it works or not. If it is again not working for you then you can download the latest driver for your mouse from internet and install it and I am sure that this time it will definitely work for you.

If you want to use any of the blutooth device with your Windows on your Mac then you have to pair that with the computer when you are running. Here are the steps to pair Windows mighty mouse.

    1. First of all you have to open Bluetooth Devices control panel.
    2. Click on Add button on the device pane.
    3. Now to set up the device, follow the blutooth Device Wizard.
      1. Turn off and again on your device to make it discoverable.
      2. Select “Let me choose my own passkey” in pass key pane and here you have to enter a numeric code.
      3. For Wireless Mighty Mouse you can enter 0000 and for Apple Wireless Keyboard you have to enter six to sixteen digits.

You need not to remember the passkey it just to keep the information which is transmitted to the computer from the device.

If your keyboard or mouse is not functioning properly when you booted by the Boot Camp partition on Windows XP then you cannot install Beta Boot Camp Drivers. If you are using Machine of the Boot Camp partition to install it then also you can not install the Bluetooth Stack. Or you will get a Control Panel applet till you connect to a apple blutooth adapter.

Your mouse will work in Windows XP but you have to follow the following steps:
    1. First thing is to unpair the Mouse in Mac OS X.
    2. Now you have to boot into Windows.
    3. Pair the Mouse in Windows.
    4. It will ask for the passcode enter 0000.
    5. Now boot back into Mac and repair in Mac

I think after this your mouse should work.

I was also having the same problem and I followed the following steps and this solves the issue. Here are those steps:
    1. Boot your Camp 2.1 or Window XP
    2. Now go to control panel > Bluetooth.
    3. Now add the device and turn the magic mouse on. Your XP will find it.
    4. Select the new device from the list and click on properties and after that select services.
    5. You will see a uncheck box whose tile is "Drivers for... etc (HID)".
    6. Tick this box and click OK button.

Normally it will ask for the passcode but if it asks then you have to enter 0000.
It asked for the passcode in my case but it get the isuue solved. You should also try it.

You can try the solution below and I am sure that you will solve it.
    Install the mouse normally.
    • When you install it successfully, you will be able to see the device listed in a Bluetooth device. Along with that you will also see a green-red led blinking.
    • Click on the properties for that device.
    • Now go to Service tab.
    • You have to check for the checkbox 'Drivers for keyboard, mice, etc (HID).
    • Hit on apply Button.
