Plextor PlexWriter 8x4x32

I have Plextor PlexWriter 8x4x32 fail to burn any CDR or CDRW if it is in udma-2 mode.CD was burned but files are bad. I tried to update the driver but it still writes me error. Next I update my bios but still the burn process failed. I am using windows xp. I use Nero to write file, Nero error: CD was burned but files are bad. I tried all versions of driver but the problem still persists. Help me.

Even I am facing the same problem with my Plextor CD-R PX-W4824A when I try to burn CD it show burn process failed. On board sound is disabled and I do not have lan on board. I use Samsung to write CD. My Hardware:
AMD Athalol x2 500
Core 2 deo microprocessor
1GB Ram
320GB HDD.
Please help me.

I am currently using Plexwriter 12/10/32A .I use Nero which is the best seeing it support “Burn-proof” and it has not given an error. I tried different combination of slave, master and IDE.The Plextor CD-R PX-W4824A crashes the system. Disable auto start of Plextor manager and use Nero it works well. The Plextor software is really nice one.

Love it. I have plextor 40/12/40 and have no problem with it. And it is much better then my Acer 8/4/32.I always trust Plextor product. Plextor burner fully supports CloneCD. It has larger buffer and short access time. It’s Recording speed more than 52x vs 48x. It works well with Nero. Having made more than 300 disc. Have a nice day.

I play ps2 games and I have few ISO backups in my computer. I want to compress and burn into DVD’s for backup. I can keep the backup using many CDs but I want to minimize the number of Cds. Please provide any tools to achieve it. If I can compress it up to 50% or more then that it will be fine? If you know any software to do it please provide detail. Your help will be appreciated.
