Poor DVI to HDMI display on Sanyo DP26649

I have brought a Sanyo DP26649 LCD TV and connected to media center enabled computer. When I connected the Computer cable, it was running smooth, but when i connected it to an DVI/HDMI cable and inserted it into the first HDMI port which is labeled DVI. when i did that the display turn into a small square in the middle of the display that usually flickers a ton and text appears that is tough to read. what can be done to solve the problem?

This problem is related with the cables your using to connect your computer and Sanyo DP26649 problem can be handled if you try a different cable, the TV doesn't support high quality resolution at which the cable you are using does. DVI interface was originally developed for computer systems so it may be creating the problem or the problem may of your display ensure it is fine and you can go for other cables available to connect both.

DVI and HDMI connections are widely used now to connect different cable supporting progressive resolution of 720p to 1080p. DVI and HDMI are the same as one another with image-quality factor . The main differences can be HDMI carries audio as well as video, and it uses a different types of connector to connect. so you can go either of them to connect T.V to your computer.

You can also connect Computer to your Sanyo DP26649 using another type of cables which are DVI/VGA cable. you need to have an RCA 'Y' adapter to plug it into the computer earphone jack, and also run 2 RCA cables to the audio input on T.V. The picture might not as good as it would be if you use a DVI/HDMI cable, but it can be better than the DVI/S-video connection. this can help to solve your problem.
