Comparision between Seagate Barracuda 7200and Western Digital Caviar Green 2TB

I am currently using Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 1.5TB which is now full. I want to buy new internal hard drive of western digital. What will you suggest? And have a look to Western Digital Caviar Green 2TB ? I do not have very good knowledge of computer. So please provide me with detail information.Thank you..

I had recently brought Western Digital Caviar Green WD20EARS 2TB and I am satisfied. It uses less power and its 64mb cache made it suitable for high performance. It uses low energy, low heat, make low noise, better RMA policy than Seagate. It formats to 2TB.

Western Digital Caviar Green 2TB: High capacity, Quiet, Expensive. But the drive dies after a two-three months, drive spins but not recognized in bios. Before this one I have a great time with Western digital but this one disappointed me. I had three drives died. On other side Western Digital gives immediate replacement to you.

I would suggest you to buy Western digital cavier because of its high performance, silent, good price. It has advance format technology. This drive is very fast under 64Bit Wnndows 7. I like it. I do not see any cons in this drive. I am using it from last 5 years and I am happy.

I purchased a new Western digital drive. I tried to install a new operating system on this new system. After tying two time formatting , I was unable to format it. So I tried on another Computer .On that computer I tried twice and finally the drive got formatted on third computer. This drive has very bad reliability. Think thrice before buying it.
