Wireless connection from laptop to tv using Windows

I have dell inspiron 15r laptop and I would like to connect my LCD TV with my laptop to see movies in better resolution and on a bigger screen. Is it possible? But the problem is that I don't know how to go about to get this setup. Do I require some special cable for this kind of setup or it can be wireless? I would prefer to have wireless. Can anyone help me to get this up? I am under Windows 7.

You can connect your laptop or desktop PC to a TV using S-Video, HDMI, DVI or HDMI-to-DVI, or VGA cable. I don't think if its possible wireless and if at all it is possible, wired connection would be preferred in my opinion. Wired connection can give you a better quality video with out any distraction or loss anywhere. It doesn't really matter which operating system you might be running on your computer.

Re: Wireless connection from laptop to tv using Windows

You cannot get a wireless connection from a laptop to TV without a wifi streaming device attached to your TV such as Netgear EVA8000. It supports a wide variety of audio and video files, but the only set back of this device is that it doesn't support 802.11n Wi-Fi. However, I don't think the drawback of this device would really matter in your case. So get it asap.
