Missing Scanning Software File for HP 3050 All in One

I have been using the HP 3050 All in One since last year. It worked greatly except for the scan function. whenever i try to scan some image or document. The scanning always results in to an error which states that HP Scanning Software file hpxp3390.dll is needed. please guide me how to fix this i would really appreciate your help

The best possible solution to install the hpxp3390.dll which is needed by the system so that the scanning function works perfectly. I think you will have to make use of the driver cd which you have got when you have purchased the HP 3050 All in one printer. Insert the cd and just update the drivers from the device manager.

Follow the steps which i have mentioned below in order to solve this problem of scanning
* Right click my computer and select device manager.
* Insert the Driver CD of the HP Printer.
* Right Click on printers and then select properties.
* Now click Update the driver and locate the CD.
* The new drivers will be installed fro the CD and the scanner will start working.

First of all i would like to thank you for replying me friends but this solution did not helped me at all and hence i need another solution from you so that i can start the scanner again. i tried to update the driver again and again by locating the cd but when i click on the next after locating the cd it searches for sometime and then stops.

This problem is mainly due to improper installation of the driver and hence the updation of the driver file will not help you in this case you will have to remove the driver from your system completely and then install the printer again by plugging it once again. This time carefully install the drivers on your system.

Dear friends. I am using HP Scanjet 3400 c for quite some time. My problem is that whenever I scan an MS Word file, which I want to edit, I am unable to do so. Word pad doesnot help me. I wish to scan an MS Word file which I can edit in MS Word. Would anyone help me with the solution ?
