Accelero Twin Turbo for Radeon HD 4850

I have bought recently a Sapphire Radeon HD 4850 and was with the volume and temperature against very unhappy, especially compared to my previous Radeon HD 3850, which was pleasantly cool and quiet. After I had read something into the subject, I decided on a radiator replacement. The choice fell on the new Arctic Cooling Accelero Twin Turbo. Now I want to know about reviews who are using this Twin Turbo. This gets you everything for about 20-25 €. Included is the pre-cooler with two 80mm silent fans, 8 self-adhesive heat sink for the GDDR-blocks, four self-adhesive heatsinks for the voltage converter, a manual, a sticker, two slot-air-permeable sheets, all required screws and a power adapter. Please share your views..!!

You must create the Catalyst Control Center (CCC), a new "profile". I called it "RadeonAccelero. to ensure the riders in the lower Reports must be said that "AMD Overdrive" is checked and thus the profile is available. On the second tab you have to do the check in the "Desktop Icon" (or something similar). With the button "Save" the profile is stored. As soon as one to "Accept" button, the profile is assumed. Now there is also the linked articles in the 'profiles' file. For me there was the profile file, edit the one must at this point:
    C: \ Documents and Settings \ Ulysses \ Local Settings \ Application Data \ ATI \ ACE \ RadeonAccelero.xml

The value for FanSpeedPercentTarget_0 I put to 55. The fan rotating so then ever with 55%, which is inaudible to me. In idle mode, I made about 44° C GPU temperature. As a last test I used the CCC Overdrive stress test and the 3dmark06 demo mode. The core temperature rises to a maximum of only 59° C! (Room temperature: 25° C). Thus, the new CCC-profile with the fan control is automatically loaded always, I'm using the profile manager already said as a desktop icon for the profile created. This I copied to the Startup folder of the Start menu. Thus, the profile at every Windows startup will be loaded automatically - perfect!!

The card is similar, the fact is not at all the reference design ... am I mistaken, or the RAM chips cooled to this design, not passive at all? Especially in the C02er image I see the right of the heat sink a chip on which is written on it - that's the RAM, and it staring them on it not a passive heat sink. Apparently familiar with Sapphire as the active ventilation. The rectangular heatsink on the card would have probably left the voltage converters have among themselves. Are larger than the radiator, which are provided at Accelero for the voltage converters - in which they are ventilated abr also active, which does not happen, or only indirectly here.

The fan blades of the new Accelero Twin Turbo PRO are designed to improve laminar air flow.
