    Dell P703W printing blank pages

My 18-month-old Dell P703W has stopped using ink. The cartridges are full and the printer behaves like it is printing pages, but the pages come out blank. The black ink cartridge stopped working first, and now the color cartridge no longer works. Any idea what could be wrong?

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers, replaced both the color and black and white ink cartridges and still nothing. It still scans, so it is communicating with my computer, but the ink has stopped working so it's otherwise useless. This printer is basically new! Any idea what could be going on?

You can try to disconnect the printer and then reinstall the printer using the instructions given at dell community. Dell ink cartridges have a sensor that reports the ink level as low once it reaches a certain level. The sensor can not be reset. If you refill an ink cartridge that previously reported low ink, it may print fine, but the sensor will always report low ink. Buying or replacing ink cartridges with new Dell cartridges will resolve the low ink message. Dell discourages ink refills. Refilling ink may lead to print quality problems, and even eventual hardware problems. This post is in no way a validation of refilling ink cartridges.

But the printer is recognizing the cartridges as full. Does that make a difference?

Try to remove the cartridge first and the check the nossels. Some time due to leakage the nossels are jammed. The nossels are front part of a printer which has small holes. You can wipe that out with some dry cloth. If the cartridge is bit heavy then there is ink in that. Go on your printer settings like in World, File > Print and check weather you had not choose draft printing.
