ThinkPad T400 with Dell SX2210T on windows 7

I have a Lenovo ThinkPad T400 laptop and have installed windows 7 operating system. And i have an external Dell Monitor SX2210T but when i tried to install the driver for this monitor then it says that i can only install for Dell Computer. Is it something like that T400 is not compatible for Dell Monitor SX2210T.

This seems like Dell have reserved some kind of rights about the feature which you are trying to use with your thinkpad laptop. Though i am not so sure about it so i need to visit on an official website of Dell.
But i do not think that there would be any such restrictions on the dell monitor as there are many users who all are using multi monitor setup.

There could be something with the driver on your windows 7 operating system in order to use Dell SX2210T by attaching it to the Lenovo ThinkPad T400. You need to search a bit about the setup which you wish to do on your laptop. Actually there would be some kind of drivers needed to install on your windows 7 system to use an external monitor.

This seems to be graphic card issue to me, Actually you need to confirm it from the Lenovo that your laptop is compatible with such setup or not and even if it is then what it would be needing such as some special graphic card driver or something else.
Your problem have made my mind blank as there is no any error which indicate something more then this.

I think an external monitor which you are trying to use would be having some kind of locking because of which it could not be used with some other computer systems except dell computer.
I think there must be some kind of hacking which might make it working. But i recommend you not to do this on your own.
