I am having one solution for same which might work for your issue. Just insert the refilled cartridge in the printer. Then press and hold stop/reset button which is followed by the flashing of light for some time. Wait till the light stops. Now you will find that the ink level is reset and not showing the low ink level.

If all the above solution is not working then it is advisable that you should install the driver for the printer once again and also check the connection of then printer that can be also the cause of the printer unable to detect the cartridge. So do the same and let me know that this is working for me or not.

I was having the same issue with the Canon printer which was not showing the ink level proper even after the installation of the new cartridge in the printer. The printer was working all fine but the ink level is always low. So i have finally contacted the Canon about this issue and they sorted out the problem by sending a technician. Try the same.
