I dropped my laptop with the usb drive still in there and now it is in 3 pieces. Is there anyway to at least get the files off.

3 pieces. Basically there is no way to get files in this situation. You will need to repair it , if possible. If in any way, you can connect the cord that connects with port and chip of the drive than there are possibilities.
