TS-L632H Firmware HS02 Problems

Hi everyone,

This is Netorious here and I am having some issues with my drives. I have a Compaq C762NR laptop that contains a TSS TcorpCDDVDW TS-L632H Drive with Firmware HS02. It is configured to region 2 for some causes so I am unable to play any disk, and when I try to change it then it replies me with an error message as "unable to update region setting". I don't know how to get it changed, and I am unable to find what firmware I require/or can update to resolve such issue. Your help would be appreciated.

Would you consider my suggestion. but it can be done if you are running with exact warranty In such type of issue within the warranty period, you need to contact Compaq/HP support personal for suggestion or fix the issue. If your warranty has been ended up then you need to create a "region free" modified firmware for your drive from stock firmware with the help of MCSE.

Yeah ! As per your suggestion, I tried to contact with the support personal but unable to got the proper response from them. They said that they could not provide me the firmware. They suggested me that you need to use some region free program. And one of the friend of mine told me to find modified firmware or the original for this drive to download.BU unable to get exactly and he is also not much knowledge about this procedure. Could you flash your views on this topic ?????Any help would be great

Are you ready to void your warranty by cross-flashing your drive? You need to find out that. what are the settings are configured for your connected driver. Just check it out that if your drive is "master" or "slave" on the controller and for this task, you need to go for the help of Device Manager .

If your driver is configured as "master" then SN-S082H SB0x (CSEL=Low) firmwares should work and for the some other configuration, there are the SH0x (CSEL=High) firmwares. One thing more,RPC1 patch can be applied with MCSE.

Hi experts,

Would you all help me ??? I have just installed windows XP on my HP530 Notebook that originally ran Vista Home Basic. I have the TS-L632H and requires the HS02 firmware. According to me, it would be simple to find out, but have had no luck so far. I have tried Samsung ODD and HP to not available. Of course, I should have taken care of it before committing the installation of windows XP. If you provide any help that would be greatly appreciated for me !
