No Sound on Windows XP SP3, Satellite - L500 1EN

I am having Toshiba Satellite - L500 1EN laptop. I have no idea what has happned sound is not coming from my Toshiba Satellite - L500 1EN laptop. I have already installed the drivers from the Toshiba official site but it is not working. Currently I am using Windows xp operating system. There is no other problem but the only issue of No Sound on Windows XP SP3, Satellite - L500 1EN. Hence I need help on this issue.

I will suggest you to download the Realtek driver from the Realtek official site, and then install it on your No Sound on Windows XP SP3, Satellite - L500 1EN. After installing the driver do not forget to install the chipset utility and then followed by the display drivers. I think this will help you.

According to me, you should remove all the window drivers on your Toshiba Satellite - L500 1EN laptop and then try to re-install the drivers from the cd, which is provided to you with the laptop. If the sound problem is not solved, then download the drivers from the Nvida site and download those drivers from its official site. This will definitely solve your problem.

First as mentioned in the above reply, download the latest driver from the official site of Nvidia.
After that go to
Control panel -> system/security -> system -> advanced systems settings -> Performance (visual effects, etc) -> settings -> Now adjust for the best performance.

I am also having the similar difficulty. There is no sound on my Toshiba Satellite L500 and under deices manager, it show "Yellow" question mark on PCI (Peripheral Component Interconnect) device and RTL8187B_WAN_Adapter. I have installed the drivers, and even rebooted the machine, but nothing works. I will be waiting for the related replies.
