How to turn off internal speakers in Toshiba L450-EZ1542

I have recently bought a new Toshiba L450-EZ1542 laptop with the window 7 operating system running on it. It is working and the features are cool. But I am facing one problem that even when I plug the head phone the sound still comes from the internal speaker of the laptop. So, can you tell me how to turn off internal speakers in Toshiba L450-EZ1542

Open the sound panel in control panel. Now on the playback tab, you will be allowed to select an output, after that click on the properties button and then choose the settings on the Levels tab. This setting is only for window 7.

I have a similar problem L500D: I want to use the line out, and close the internal speaker. As far as I know, select the "phone" will turn off when I plug the speaker, but I do not want the level of the headset, I would like to line level. This is a recognized problem By the way, "speaker" is a misleading name, so that as the default playback device. This means that it is the speaker. In my opinion, it should be called the "audio output"

    Thanks for the reply
The "solution" offered in the above replies is for adjusting levels in which are in the control panel this is not a solution for me. It affects the audio level out to everything, including the speakers. My actual problem is that I need to turn off the speakers and leaving the line out levels aside. In simple words, my problem is not solved.
