    Toshiba Satellite A105-S361 no sound

I have recently bought a new Toshiba Satellite A105-S361 and i have noticed that this laptop has not sound. Actually i have tried many types of files which are in fact playing in the media player but there is not sound from the laptop itself even if i have kept the volume at its maximum limit. Help me to hear my favorite songs on my laptop. I am using windows XP on this computer.

If there is no sound at all on your laptop then it should be an audio driver problem. I suggest you to reinstall the sound driver of your laptop which will be fixing this problem. As you have bought a new laptop then there will not be any kind of hardware issue regarding the speakers. Make sure that you remove the old driver completely before installing the new one so that new driver can work properly.

It might happen some times that even a new brand electronic items has some kind of faults. I have seen it on many forums that the people are complaining bout the parts of their new laptops. It might happen that the speakers provided on your laptop would be having some loose connections or there could be problem in the speakers itself. I suggest you to use your warranty to check sound problem on your Toshiba laptop.

I can only suggest you to download the Realtek AC'97 Driver for your Windows XP operating system. This driver must be installed on your computer in order to play any type of sounds from the in built speakers given with your Toshiba Satellite Laptop. Even i am using the same series of laptop and i have installed the same driver and the sound on my laptop work fine. You may try it by downloading the Realtek AC'97 Driver.

If you have done with the installing sound driver for your windows xp operating system then i think you have mistaken in doing the sound settings on your windows xp. Go to the start menu and open control panel. In control panel you would be having an icon for Sounds And Audio Devices, Click on it and check for the settings. First of all select for the Realtek Audio device there and then you may check the sound settings on your laptop.
