You have to use HP LaserJet P1000 and P1500 Series Plug and Play Recovery Utility to get rid out of this problem. This firmware recovery utility is for the HP LaserJet P1005, P1006, P1505, P1505n printers only. This recovery is recommended for HP LaserJet P1005, P1006, P1505, P1505n printers that is detected as a HP LaserJet P1002 printer. This utility recovers the product name of the printer in static NVRAM, and customer will be able to successfully install the software.
