How to restore to factory settings of HP laptop?

    Hi,

Recently I have purchased HP Pavilion dv9500. I keep getting error 0x400100130000 10012 or similar errors so I thought of restoring it to default setting. I was about wondering if there is a restore to factory settings. As Dell laptop has on startup hold ctrl and keep tapping f11. So tell me how to restore to factory settings of HP laptop?

The Windows System Restore creates snapshots of system files and settings from the team, called restore points, so you can restore your computer operating conditions that existed at an earlier time. Selecting a restore point allows you to resolve most of the operational problems by returning the computer to a restore point that was created before the trouble started. To use the Windows System Restore manually for the first time, you should:

    • On the System Protection feature.
    • Select a location to store the system restore point.
    • Create a restore point, the initial system.

Once activated, the protection system, the pc creates a new restore point each day just prior to significant events, such as installing new software. You can also create a restore point manually at any time.

Use HP Recovery Manager to restore to factory settings of HP laptop. It allows you to return the computer to its original factory condition. It will reinstall the original operating system and removes all programs and data from the hard disk. If your computer suddenly has a problem, you must do a system restore to try to resolve the issue before making a full recovery with HP Recovery Manager.

If your facing some problem with hp laptop then set System Restore, to verify that System Restore is enabled, and select a location to store restore points. Click Start, type system in the search field, and select System Restore from the list to open the System Restore Wizard. In the System Protection tab, select the drive location where you stored restore points. The Create option appears inactive until you select the primary hard drive (C: ) or an external hard drive. After selecting the location where you store the restore points, you activate the option Create. Now that enable System Restore and selected the save location, you can create a restore point.

Press f11 during HP laptop startup to restore the computer to a previous saved restore point. Once System Restore is complete, click Restart to restart the computer. If you see HP Recovery Manager when you restart your computer, press Cancel and it allow the computer restarts in Windows. If the computer does not start on the Windows desktop and Safe Mode with Command Prompt is not available, use the latest configuration known to be good in the Advanced Options menu to return home computer to the point previous restoration.
