Hp Printer Error 0x886a6b72 at startup

Hello,

I have a HP Photosmart 2610 printer. When I turn on the printer, all the buttons start to flash and I have an error message 0x886a6b72 at atartup, but it no longer wants to operate. As there was a storm before. Is it possible that a printer can be grilled by a storm. Otherwise what do I do? Thank you for answers.

There is no way to fix it, the very small chip used to process the data flow is extremely sensitive to changes in voltage, and make the mistake of almost constantly. Sorry to say, had one for me, took him aside and I had tried to find out why but ended by getting a Brother MFC-210C and since I never had a problem.

I have the same problem with a HP Photosmart D5460 printer, which cannot boot. It is done by the startup and exits with an error message 0x886a6b72 and showed all the lights. Is there a fix for this or interpretation of the error code?. I suspect that its been blown up by a power surge through the telephone line, and it all started after a storm and power outage. I cannot imagine that this was caused by energy supply. Any help is appreciated.

Sorry to say but your printer is dead. If its under warranty then replace it from Hp centre. By goggling, the only solution I found is, purchase a new printer and some protection more power to powerboard that makes the fax line and advanced power and some filtering. Try resetting to factory settings but hope it works !!!
