Video files like MPEG-1, 2 and 4, DivX and XviD are supported in MediaPlayer XS. For audio formats, MP3, WMA and WAV are recognized, and JPG, BMP and GIF images. The video output is composite format and the audio output is limited to stereo, not multichannel audio. The hard drives or USB key connected to the MediaPlayer XS must be formatted in FAT 32 or NTFS support and USB 2.0 interface.

The connections and the installation does not pose any particular problem. As you connect there is a folder created to play all media on the hard disk, and three cases limited to the detection of videos, music and photos. The other two directories in the menu are devoted to setting and a possible update of the housing. The setting will be limited mainly to how to view their photos and scroll in slide show mode.

Re: MediaPlayer XS Adapter for playing Hard drive movies

The MediaPlayer XS does not support mov format. This is to stop piracy of movies. it has targeted DivX and other MPEG2 downloaded. On the other hand, the XS is unable to meet the original format of the video. Rather than emphasizing the management of black bars to frame a 16:9 image, it tends to fill the screen with the crushing sensation arising and inhibits the viewing.
