USB Audio Device error in Device Manager, newly purchased Headset not installing correctly

Hey guys, today I went out to radio shack and purchased a USB headset. It is plug n Play compatible but when I plug it into USB, it says Found new hardware "Usb Audio Device" and pops up with the Found New Hardware Wizard. The issue is, when I press yes to Install the software automatically(Recommended), the wizard searches for USB Audio Device software and goes into The hardware was not installed because the wizard cannot find the necessary software. The headset did not come with any drivers, and I'm 100% sure it's a driver issue on my computer because when I go to device manager, USB Audio Device says the following:
This device is not configured correctly. (Code 1)

To reinstall the drivers for this device, click Reinstall Driver.
I've used the CD that came with my motherboard to install audio drivers as I use onboard audio, and it still gives me the issue of the USB Audio Device not working correctly.
I tried plugging in the headset to my older laptop and desktop upstairs, and the headset works just fine, Plug n Play, turns on, and the microphone/audio in the headset works fine.
With this computer, it won't detect the headset.
Any advice? I've been at this for 3 1/2 hours now and It's REALLY frustrating me.

I built my computer, the old headset I had which broke was working fine, Plug n Play, no drivers, nothing. No idea what's going on, but my systerm manufacturer is MSI, Model MS-7399.
I checked for driver updates and only found VGA updates which have nothing to do with USB audio.

Re: USB Audio Device error in Device Manager, newly purchased Headset not installing correctly

It seems as there is not problem with the headset since you can play it on your laptop. Are you using windows Vista or windows 7 on your laptop. Because windows XP cannot install some drivers on its own whereas the in vista and windows 7 there are some drivers which are built in. Try to get the drivers from the official manufacturer website. If still can't get the audio then try to take help from the headset vendor.

Re: USB Audio Device error in Device Manager, newly purchased Headset not installing correctly

Thank you for your reply Hardwareman.
I'm using windows XP PRO SP2.
I built my own computer but the manufacturer is MSI model MS-7399.
I've tried looking for drivers on there website which I could be missing causing me this issue and I had no luck.
I went to my system manufacturers website(MSI, Model MS-7399) and they have a live update utility which I ran, that searched for all available updates for my motherboard, here are the following screenshots as I'm assuming I will be told to check my manufacturer for driver updates.

Is there any chance you could assist me in finding drivers for my model?

All you can do is to reinstall the software given along with the manual. If the problem still exists, its better to contact the customer support.
