You are having the Asus desktop and want to purchase the new Blu-ray drive for this desktop. You are particularly looking for the Asus blu-ray drive. You have selected the Asus BC-06B1ST Blu-ray drive for your computer system. I think you can go for this optical Blu-ray drive for your desktop. But this is the Blu-ray combo drive which means that this drive can read the Blu-ray discs but cannot write ir burn the Blu-ray disc.

Re: Want to buy Asus BC-06B1ST Blu-ray drive for desktop

I you are looking for only the Blu-ray combo drive for the desktop then this is the good choice for your computer system. But if you are looking for the Blu-ray RW drive then you have made the wrong selection. This drive is only for reading and playback of the Blu-ray disc. ASUS BC-06B1ST is a powerful and energy-saving Blu-ray drive capable of reading/writing/re-writing data on 6X BD read and 16X DVD+R write BD Combo formats.

Re: Want to buy Asus BC-06B1ST Blu-ray drive for desktop

You are now having all the information of the Asus BC-06B1ST combo Blu-ray drive available over here. If you want to purchase the Blu-ray internal drive then it is not available with the Asus. You will have to look for some other manufacturer for this. I will advice you to go for the Sony Blu-ray RW drives for your desktop. The reason for this is that, the Sony is the inventor of the Blu-ray technology.
