Lexmark Platinum Pro905 printer not detected in Windows Vista

I am having the laptop and the desktop and both these are having the Windows Vista operating system installed in them. I am having the Lexmark Platinum Pro905 printer and i am facing problem in using the printer with the desktop as well as with the laptop. This Lexmark Platinum Pro905 printer is not detected by the Windows Vista operating system. So, i am here to get the solution for this issue.

If both of this devices were detecting this Lexmark Platinum Pro905 printer before and this issue started in the recent time then the system restore of the desktop and the laptop may resolve this problem of the Lexmark Platinum Pro905 printer .

May be the driver software which you have installed for the Lexmark Platinum Pro905 printer in the laptop or the desktop is not working or it is not able to detect the printer connected to the system. So i will advice you to reinstall the driver software of the Lexmark Platinum Pro905 printer in the desktop as well as in the laptop for the Windows Vista operating system. I think the USB ports of the desktop and the laptop that you are having is not working or they are disabled from the device manager. For checking that they are working or not connect some other devices to the USB Port. If not detected by the system the the ports are not working. You will have to enable it from the device manager or change the USB ports. Try connecting to other USB ports of the laptop and the desktop.
